Runforever participates in exploring new paths for directing human energies and resources towards the common good without being coopted by the logic of business, competition and productivity. We see a great potential in understanding how “work” can exceed the idea of “job” and be reconceived as a fundamental expression of human generosity. This is reflected in the claims by third sector organisations for creating more flexible funding arrangements. As IFF Health director – Margaret Hannah says, “Funding calls for innovation often require people to compete with each other whereas working together might generate more synergy and learning in the system. Innovation in funding itself requires careful thought if pioneering activity to grow a new and more effective health system is to succeed (2014:117)” [1].

Important to highlight how the fundraising is taking so much time and importance in the activity of organisations out of the focus of their main goals. It also determines high pressure and impact on the wellbeing on people doing the job of fundraising leading to over stress and burn out.

Within this frame Runforever participates inevitably in the search for funding while maintaining awareness on what this implies.
